comment What is the most common variant of poker?
Also, the same FAQ paragraph states: "You should only ask practical, answerable questions based on actual problems that you face." My problem is i don't want to learn Texas Hold'em, get posted to Gibraltar, and find spaniards don't play it. I am simply looking for a worldwide statistic, not a regional one.

I have researched Texas Hold'em a little more, and found it is the most popular in the UK, USA, and is the game of choice for the Poker World Series. As such, i think this answer bets answers my original question.

comment How does a wild card (53rd) affect the odds of making the standard poker hands?
As i've said below, i don't believe the odds on any of these hands would change significantly enough compared to each other to be re-ordered. Your current list shows them from most to least likeliest.

I disagree that it invites dicussion. I am looking for a statistic, say "pokerprofessional.com states that people play Texas Hold 'em 12x more than any other variant." I don't see how that "invites discussion".

Answers shouldn't just be a personal preference, nor a wikipedia link.
