HoldemManager2 and PokerTracker4 are still the market leaders. I personally used HoldemManager2 a lot and was quite happy with it, though it used a lot of ram and made my old windows notebook quite laggy sometimes when I 12+tabled and used a HUD. But since I have a mac now, PokerTracker4 is the only way to go for me.

But it also depends on which stakes you play. If you only play micros and do not want to spend 100$ for tracking software, you could also use FreePokerDB

HoldemManager 2 uses a lot of ram, especially when you play 12+tabled and use a HUD. But when you play on MacOSx you can only use PokerTracker 4 - because Holdem Manager 2 is Windows only.
