blinds are 800 player 1 goes all in, but only has 700, player 2 calls, should he put in the 700 or 800, and what should the other players put in. the dealer said the remaining players only had to put in the 700

  • Every player must put in the full amount of his due blind and/or ante if he can. So if, for example, the blinds are 1000/2000, and you are in the small blind, you must go all in for your $700, and the next player must post his full blind of $2000. If any player has less, he is all in and can only win the amount he has put in from each other player, and any amount over that goes into a side pot. If there are only two players, the side pot is awarded to the player with the deeper stack immediately. – Lee Daniel Crocker May 28 '19 at 19:34
