Texas Hold'Em is a poker variant in which each player receives two cards (hole cards) that are dealt face down and then five community cards are dealt face-up by the dealer. All players may use their hole cards and the five community cards to make their best five-card poker high hand.
Texas Hold'Em is a community-card poker variant in which each player receives 2 cards face down (known as their "hole cards").
A "flop" of 3 cards is then dealt face up, followed by a single face-up card (the turn), and a final face-up card (the river). The best 5 card poker hand, using any of the player's 2 cards and the 5 community cards, wins.
There is a round of betting after the deal, and after the flop, turn, and river - 4 rounds of betting in total. The game can be played with fixed-limit, spread-limit, pot-limit and no-limit betting structures, with no-limit being the most common.
Texas Hold'em is the most popular poker variant in the world.
